YardStick tour: the lease sales manager
What this video answers: how is a lease deal priced and approved without calculators, spreadsheets and email chains? The story is the same as version 1 (Bill's note: chain of custody, no calculators or spreadsheets). Version 2 uses the YardStick name and closes a 2.5-second pause. The opening scenes are illustrations; the YardStick screens are the real app (TruckIQ, the YardStick fleet module). About 43 seconds.
Script
- Jason at work (illustration). This is Jason. He runs sales at a truck leasing company.
- The old way (illustration). A customer wants a seven-year lease on a roll-off. Jason prices it with a calculator, an old spreadsheet, and his gut.
- (Illustration.) Then he chases the bosses for sign-off.
- The email chain (illustration). By email. For days.
- YardStick. This is YardStick.
- ROI Calculator, a deal. Enter the deal once, and YardStick builds the full return: IRR, ROIC, and every year's gross profit.
- Approvals. The roll-out price and every approval happen right here, and everyone's notified.
- (Illustration.) Now Jason prices every deal with confidence, and gets it signed off fast.
- End card. Price every deal with confidence.
Chain of custody
- The deal is entered once (or filled from the lease quote) and keeps its history: who submitted it, who set the used price, who gave final approval, and when.
- The roll-out price is approved separately, by someone who never sees the deal's cost, book value or returns.
- Only an executive gives final approval. Every step is logged and enforced by the server.
Benchmark visibility
A sales manager with a full YardStick account sees the Market page. A salesperson whose account is limited to the ROI calculator sees just that page, and no benchmarks.
